The Land Use permit application is being submitted in support of the remediation activities required to cleanup the abandoned Silver Bear Mines (made up of five sites that include Terra, Northrim, Norex, Graham Vein and Smallwood mine sites}, the abandoned El Bonanza Mine (made up of two sites including El Bonanza and Bonanza mine sites), abandoned Contact Lake Mine and the abandoned Sawmill Bay site. The purpose of the remediation project is to reduce the environmental impacts associated with these contaminated sites which will result in an overall positive impact on the environment. Associated Water Licence is S15L8-001​ (renewal of S09L8-001)​.
