Tanya McIntosh is the chair of the Mackenzie Valley Land and Water Board and is from the Sahtu region. Her family comes from Délı̨nę, Tulita, Norman Wells, and Fort Good Hope and includes a number of respected Elders, including grandparents Joe and Marie Blondin, grandmother Cecilia Moses, and mother Ethel Blondin-Andrew. 

Debie Watsyk is from the NWT’s Deh Cho region, born and raised in Fort Simpson. She is the oldest granddaughter of Louis Norwegian, a longtime chief of Jean Marie River, and the oldest daughter of Minnie Norwegian. She currently lives in Hay River but remains active in working on projects that improve the future for residents of the Deh Cho.

Cathie Bolstad is a lifelong Northerner who grew up in Whitehorse, Yukon. Her parents, Jerry and Rose, moved to the North from Nova Scotia. Cathie has spent the last 30 years living in Yellowknife, where she now has children and grandchildren.
